Sean O'Shea

Dear friends,

On behalf of MEChA de Palomar,  Alumni and Alumnae of MEChA, and Multicultural Studies faculty , I am writing to invite you to the memorial remembrance for Sean O' Shea  who died tragically on December 28, 2006. When Sean was a student at Palomar College, he was a remarkable leader and MEChA president. Sean made significant contributions to our campus community.

Please join us on February 23,2007 in room SU-17 Palomar Campus, the old MEChA office from 4:00pm to 5:30 pm where we will meet to share our memories and experiences recollecting the incredible life of Sean.

Following the special gathering you are invited to attend a fascinating screening of a famous documentary on the Mexican American War. Producer and director Mark Day of the documentary "The San Patricios" will introduce the film and share the relevance of the connection between Mexico and the Irish and how Sean shared this dual love and heritage of his Irish and Mexican background. The film screening is dedicated to Sean’s bicultural heritage.
